Curcumin

Turmeric is a rhizomatous herbaceous perennial plant of the gingerfamily, Zingiberaceae. Curcumin is extracted from Curcuma Longa rhizome, with dark yellow surface, shriveling texture and dark orange racture area. It is widely used in India and China as one of anti-inflammatory remedies, and also used as spice, therapeutic drug and textile dyestuff.
